The Platte River Decision Support System (DSS), is a system used to make water allocation decisions on the Platte River in Nebraska during excess water supply events, or in times of drought. This system will increase efficiency, transparency, and accountability while simplifying the process and reducing the regulatory burden on customers applying for the use of excess water. The Platte River Decision-Support System (DSS) is a comprehensive approach implementing scientific, economic, environmental, and statutory considerations into a structured process that gives DWEE the ability to quickly respond to rapidly changing water resource conditions along the Platte River. The system aims to maximize the effectiveness of excess flow, monitor and track outcomes of excess flow events, and be accessible and transparent to stakeholders and the public.

",
