<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><P><SPAN>When a river basin or portion of a river basin is determined to be fully appropriated or declared overappropriated, DWEE and the affected NRDs must work cooperatively to develop an integrated management plan for that specific area. Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) boundaries are used to determine the boundaries of the basin that the plan is for. These plans are used to manage interstate agreements, local water usage, and to provide Natural Resource Districts with guidance on water planning. Links to the plans are included in the attribute data of this feature, and can also be found on the DNR website. All plans relate to drainage areas that are measured at the 6 digit HUC level, or HUC6.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV> |
