Service Description: The Streamgages layer provides users with real-time stage/flow information for active gages across the State of Nebraska. These gages are operated/maintained by a number of agencies, including DWEE, USGS, USBR, CNPPID, and Irrigation Districts. Details of ownership can be found in the attribute field "Source."
A transfer process automatically checks and gathers stage, discharge, and storage data every 15 minutes from USGS and DWEE, storing the last hour's data (for stage and discharge). The "DataSource" field in the attribute table indicates where this data was pulled from. Based on the latest last-hour stage data, the stage trend is identified as either 'Constant,' 'Falling,' or 'Rising' and stored as "StageTrend." The transfer process also checks the NWS website and fetches data for "ActionStage, FloodStage, ModerateStage, MajorStage, RecordStage, RecordDate, ForecastPotential, MaxForecastFloodStatus, ForecastIssuedDate, FirstForecastDate, LastForecastDate, MaxForecastDate, MaxForecastStage, MaxForecastDischarge."
