<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The Department of Water, Energy and Environment (DWEE) Water Planning Section develops and maintains various hydrologic models in order to determine water usage throughout the State of Nebraska, and in interstate areas. These models are calculated using a variety of applications, including ArcGIS and MODFLOW. Model boundaries are created by merging active grid cells from these models to create a polygon that displays the extent of the model area. These polygons are used to create maps and perform geoprocessing. The information in these models are also used to support the variety of reports, agreements, and compacts that the Nebraska DWEE is a stakeholder in.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
