Service Description: Beach Watch allows the public to view the most recent public beach monitoring results during the summer recreation season (May-September). The Nebraska Department of Water, Energy and Environment and its partners collect weekly samples for microcystin and E. coli bacteria at public lakes with designated swimming beaches and/or a large amount of water-based recreation. This application is produced by NDEE for internal, as well as public, use. The information in these datasets represents the data on file at the Department but may have been generated by third party sources. The data from third party sources are believed to be reliable, but the Department cannot guarantee accuracy or completeness.
